A Southern Girl Trying to Make a Difference in Sin City

I am constantly striving to better myself as a human being but also as an education leader.  The buzzword that echoes through most of what I read is authentic.  I am a firm believer that saying authentic does not equal being authentic.  Perhaps the fact that I loathe the word authentic is one indicator that I am authentic.  No one said it better than Shakespeare himself through Polonius in Hamlet, “This above all: to thine own self be true.” Because I try to live my life by holding true to my ideals,  I influence change.  I will not compromise who I am nor will I focus on self-interest before the good of the order.  I do not wear my heart on my sleeve; however, I will show empathy when it is due.  I am in everything I do for the long haul.  If I keep uncovering my true self, I will have absolutely no competition.
